Domestic Violence - Men's Help Line
9223 1199 or free call 1800 000 599; state wide 24 hr service - You may care about a person who wants to learn other ways of dealing with things than through violence; provides counselling for men who are concerned about becoming violent or abusive. The service can provide phone counselling & information & referral to on going face to face services.
Domestic Violence - Women's Help Line
9223 1188; Free call 1800 007 339; 24 hour service - provides support and counselling for women experiencing family and domestic violence. This includes phone counselling, information and advice, referral to local advocacy and support services, liaison with police if necessary and support in escaping situations of family and domestic violence. The service can refer women to safe accommodation if required.
9245 2441 - A 24 hour service for families with children. Crisis Support Services for families with an unexpected crisis that requires emergency care of their children. This could be due to a parent becoming ill, a sudden family crisis or similar.
